Here is a illustration I did for a friend who writes a weekly column for IGN. He needs different poses every week. Thats going to be a lot of drawings. Well it will help me practice, especially on inking, colour theory and stuff.
Did a fast sketch for a clubbing flyer. Kind of based on what I did before. Its ok, didn't have much time before they needed it. At least got some practice with tablet and practicing those colour theories.
Since we are posting art we were doing for the day, I'm going to post something a little diffrent. My day job is graphic design, so here's what I did today. It's a magazine layout targeted for young readers.
I'll switch between posting drawings and graphic design, I figure if it's ok as long as it has something to do with art.
Finished up the Cypher image today. Should have planned out the pose better, you can't really see it so well in that lighting... But I'm pretty happy with how the lighting plays off it's features.
Just practicing some drawings on wacom tablet. Trying to master inks and drawing itself. Drawing straight into photoshop is not the easiest thing to do.
How about everyone else here, are you drawing straight into computer? Anyways if any of you want a chance to improve, make your own version or even colour it, go ahead. It would be interesting to see a combination of people working on one piece.
In Ontario they've started a Segway pilot project to see how the devices will affect pedestrian safety.
According to the legislation during the pilot only "individuals aged 14 and older with a disability that impairs their mobility, Canada Post employees delivering mail door-to-door and police officers will be able to use Segways on public sidewalks and roads."
I can't wait to see police Segways.
Also, a realization: I don't know what a horse looks like.
Eh heh heh... So on one message board I frequent, someone was saying that while Sheik's good, he doesn't like fighting against Sheik in SSBM; he loathes super-fast-teleporting-ninja Sheik. I replied with "Well, she's a ninja and a princess; how can you possibly be more awesome?"
Another person, one who's a fan of huge, strong characters, responded with "By being bigger and more Bowserlike."
Mm...I've been meaning to draw a portrait of my main WoW character for my guild forums, so now I have one. ;p
Hm. I think I could fix up the left half of her face (her left, our right) more, probably... something just doesn't look quite right...
Well, I finally have Photoshop on my computer now, so I should be posting more frequently! I take long to do art though, so I don't know if I can keep up with one a day....
Edit (08/01/16, 17:18): Uploaded the new main file, didn't change the thumbnail. It.. still looks pretty similar, but I guess a bit better...
Quick concept thingers for some sprites of Raymoo, that wacky miko. I didn't think I could manage SD things, but they turned out cute pretty easily somehow. Reimu's pretty easy to draw, I guess?
Not sure if this qualifies for a new drawing, but it's something I just finished for school. Its a nod to the commodore64 days of gaming. Check out the video. Let me know what you guys think.
A weird vehicle design I came up with a while back. The rear wheels are tank treads, and can be a angled so more of the tread is in contact with the ground when needed. It also changes the profile of the car: it can be lower to the ground for higher speeds, or higher up for better handling off-road.
I'm still a little undecided on how the front looks though... so for now, here's the back!
Rats, this wasn't supposed to be a filler day AGAIN, but its turned into one. Um... have a Gunbuster doodle. Good thing I have plenty of not-awful-but-never-finished stuff...
I like the concept of this blog. Upload a drawing everyday. It forces you to do a drawing a day, and I need the practice practice with the wacom tablet.
